Bill Nickles is principal and founder of YD Financial Inc., a fee-only financial planning firm. He began his career in the financial services business in 1996 after graduating from Clemson University with a degree in Economics. Bill has spent equal amount of time working with families developing comprehensive wealth management plans and working with institutions, foundations, endowments and other investment consultants. Before founding YD Financial, he was Senior Vice President and Director of Hedge Fund Development for Aspen Partners. In this capacity he was responsible for the overall direction of the hedge fund group which included research, due diligence and development of portfolios using alternative investments. It is this experience that largely influences his current investment philosophy: bringing institutional style money management to individuals.
He and his wife live in Atlanta and spend time in New England and Colorado.
